Artist Research: HC Gilje

HC Gilje is an installation artist who's work often includes the use of light and disorienting and dream-like  environments. His unifying element between all of his work is "Conversation with Spaces" and tries to manipulate light, projection, sound, and motion.

When I was looking through his works, I felt that they all had this somewhat airy feel to them. Like I was dreaming or floating. It really felt like I was in outer space. in transit X is a great example of this, as the singular light traveling along it's path with the frames reminds me of planets in orbit. Overall, his work succeeds in transporting its viewers to a new place every time.
